Congregation Rodeph Sholom
Congregation Rodeph Sholom
Families whose children attend Rodeph Sholom School also become members of Congregation Rodeph Sholom, one of New York’s most distinguished Reform congregations. Clergy members are deeply involved in the school community and help guide students through both everyday moments as well as important Jewish coming-of-age rituals, including B’nai Mitzvah. Congregation Rodeph Sholom School serves as the physical and spiritual backbone of a community informed by Jewish values, and remains a part of their families’ lives long after their children have graduated.
Our Partnership
Through a long standing commitment to our community, Rodeph Sholom School and Congregation Rodeph Sholom’s partnership allows children and families to celebrate their Jewish heritage while living their Jewish values. Our students and families are involved in the life of the synagogue through meaningful moments; weekly services, youth groups, book clubs, sisterhood events, holidays, volunteerism, and much more.
B’nai Mitzvah at CRS
Purpose. Pride. Belonging.
Becoming B’nai Mitzvah is one of the most meaningful and sacred milestones in Jewish life, and there are many different aspects of the process. As B’nai Mitzvah, our children will be standing on the bimah, leading our congregation in prayer, sharing words of Torah, and affirming your child’s place in our Jewish story. It takes years to build the relationships, knowledge, skills, and experiences that will lay the foundation for lifelong Jewish connection.
